Successful, but short on real friends?

You're good at your job.

People respect you.

But when something big happens, good or bad, you're not sure who to call.

Your week is full of meetings. Your weekends are full of errands. The group chat from a few years ago has gone quiet.

It doesn't fix itself

Every year, "I'm too busy" gets a little easier to say.

Old friends move, get married, change jobs. The invitations slow down.

Then one day you get great news, or bad news, and the list of people you want to tell is very short.

Most people don't notice it happening. They just notice it one day.

The 3 Degrees of Connection

When I moved to Mexico City, I had zero friends. Within 6 months I had a real community. Today it's 100+ people.

It wasn't luck. It was 3 simple habits, done again and again.

1. Show up again and again

Friendship doesn't come from one great conversation. It comes from seeing the same people over and over.

2. Make the first move

Most people wait to be invited. The people with the best friends send the first message and plan the dinner.

3. Give without keeping score

Show up for people before you need anything. That's what turns "someone I know" into "someone I trust."

Kevin Jung

Hi, I'm Kevin.

I've lived in 15 countries and started over in cities where I knew no one.

Making real friends as an adult is a skill, and it can be learned.

This is the exact plan I use with my coaching clients.

Questions you might have

I'm really busy. How much time does this take?

About 10 minutes a day. Most actions fit into things you already do: a workout, a coffee, a message.

I'm an introvert. Is this for me?

Yes. Nothing here asks you to work a room. It's about seeing the same few people again and again, which suits introverts well.

What if it feels awkward?

It will, in week 1. That's normal. By week 3, some people will start reaching out to you.

I just moved and don't know anyone here.

Then this is for you. It's the same plan I used every time I started over in a new country.

Do I need Notion?

A free Notion account is enough. You click Duplicate, and the guide and tracker are yours.

Is it really free?

Yes. You'll get a few emails from me to keep you going, and you can unsubscribe anytime. If you want help doing it, I offer 1:1 coaching, but there's no pressure.
